Paxon was engaged as the lead advisor to the Tasmanian Department of Health for the Royal Hobart Hospital co-location project (public and private hospitals).
Paxon provided operational, commercial and financial advice to facilitate the development of transaction documentation and advise on best practice in public-private hospital co-locations.
This included review of the existing hospital and health arrangements and identifying the patient and service outcomes that the State was seeking.
Paxon worked with the State of Tasmania to undertake evaluation and value for money assessments for the co-location project. This included risk assessments, financial assessments, developing a business case and supporting financial review documentation.

Key Outcomes
Paxon provided specialist commercial advice to the TAS Office of Coordinator General on co-location options of private and public health services at the Launceston General Hospital site.
Paxon established the framework for review and evaluation of the State’s new Unsolicited Proposals framework for unique and/or innovative proposal initiated by the private sector.
