Job Description

The Paxon team provides commercial and strategic advice to a range of public, private and ASX listed companies across Australia. Paxon has advised on 110 hospitals across every State and Territory in Australia.

Each year Paxon advises on over $3 billion of new hospital infrastructure, influences the development of models of care and the way that innovation and technology can assist. We also advise on specialist hospital services including pharmacy, medical imaging, rehabilitation, chemotherapy and dialysis.

As a Manager in the health sector team you will be focused on undertaking engagements delivering the following:

- Business case development and feasibility studies including project scope development, strategic thinking to develop lines of enquiry, economic analysis, identification of investment objectives
- Service planning decisions
- Extensive client and stakeholder communication, consultation and engagement
- Interpretation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data that will be utilised to inform various stakeholder investment / financing decisions
- Manipulation and analysis of large, complex datasets to assist in the selection of the preferred business case option / assess project feasibility
- Commercial and strategic financial advice
- Policy development
- Structuring of projects and ventures, including commercial and financial structures and arrangements
- Assessment of procurement and financing options
- Mergers and acquisition advice
- Transaction advisory services
- Business case and feasibility study writing
- Documentation and presentation of results.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have 5+ years' experience in a similar role. Financial and commercial experience in the healthcare industry (either in industry or as an adviser) is desirable and candidates with this background are encouraged to apply.

- Development of discounted cash flow analysis and derivation of discount rates for public and private sector financial modelling and assessment
- Interpretation and analysis of model findings aligned to client and project requirements
- Manipulate and analysis of large, complex datasets
- Application of methods of project financing and requirements for financing to financial model and report development
- Business case and feasibility study writing
