Paxon acted as adviser to the (now) Department of Transport on the process for the procurement of a partner to develop a deep water port at Oakajee.

The project is a greenfield infrastructure and supply chain business to transport iron ore and involves a deep water port and integrated rail network.

Paxon advised on commercial, financial and procurement aspects of the project including model development, market sounding, procurement options, tender development and assessment, funding and financing, commercial principles and risk allocation.
