Paxon developed the preliminary feasibility study for the establishment of an Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub (AMTECH) in the Bunbury-Geographe region.
The AMTECH concept is designed to create an eco-system of technological advancement and continuous learning, it will give local manufacturers access to infrastructure, technology, training, education and research.
Paxon conducted market research, reviewed comparable Australian developments, and assessed the Bunbury region to evaluate alignment for advanced manufacturing hubs defined based on successful precedents. An approach was then developed to secure government support and progress a feasibility study, industry attraction process, and business case to deliver a viable solution.

Paxon’s assistance allowed the project to progress to the next stages by demonstrating the need for Government investment and the unique suitability of the Bunbury region as a location.
The project has been positioned as the State’s first dedicated advanced manufacturing, technology and renewables zone. It received $55 million in State Government funding and is currently under delivery.
