Paxon acted as financial adviser on the development of five new stadia, as part of the Kingdom’s commitment to host the Asian Football Championships in 2027 and the Football World Cup in 2034.

The Ministry of Sport (MOS) wanted to investigate ways to reduce the capital expenditure of Government for the delivery of the new stadia and were interested in private funding and financing options. As the stadia need to be developed to meet specific AFC 2027 dates, Government needed to proceed with funding the construction of the stadia.

Paxon designed funding and PPP models, such that by the end of construction there is a takeout payment back to Government to refund the capital invested in construction.
