Paxon acted as financial and commercial adviser to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to conduct a market process to find a partner to deliver the UNSW Health Translation Hub (HTH).
The HTH is an educational, research and teaching facility that will directly connect to the new $658 million Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre, as well as UNSW’s existing Kensington Campus. The precinct will become the largest co-located health and innovation precinct in NSW.
Paxon provided full end-to-end transaction management, financial and commercial advisory services on the project.

Key Outcomes
The HTH transaction delivers a highly efficient capital structure for UNSW, whilst providing significant opportunity for the creation of a symbiotic ecosystem between industry, research, and education. The bespoke structured financing transaction meets UNSW’s specific needs through an innovative financing structure.
The deal reached completion in November 2022 with construction of the HTH set to be complete in 2025.
