Paxon acted as commercial adviser to Gippsland Skies Offshore Wind (Gippsland Skies) on their application for a feasibility licence for an offshore wind project.
The consortium of Australian and international companies, comprising Mainstream Renewable Power, Reventus Power, AGL Energy and DIRECT Infrastructure were successful on their application for a feasibility licence for a fixed bottom 2.5 GW offshore wind project under the new Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act (Cth) in respect of the declared zone located in Gippsland, Victoria.
Paxon led the bid development for the consortium which required a high degree of knowledge of technical and commercial factors impacting the sector, as well as an understanding of the constraints on landside services including grid and transmission infrastructure.
